Fair Employment Policy Statement

Brookvex IMS Ltd and Brookvex Security Ltd (hereafter referred to as Brookvex) provides installation, supply and maintenance services for communications and electrical infrastructure, data and security (including installation of CCTV and access control), fire alarm systems, general office refurbishment, minor building services and civil works, and highways reinstatement.

Brookvex values the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity. We are fully committed to achieving the highest standards of service delivery and employment practice whilst ensuring equality of opportunity for all sections of the community, including its own workforce.
Our aim is to ensure that its employment practices secure equality of opportunity and that no prospective or existing employee receives less favourable treatment as a result of their age, gender, marital status, ethnic origin, sexuality, disability, religion or belief, any criminal record or for any other reason which cannot be shown to be justified.

Our recruitment and selection process procedures endeavour to ensure that individuals are selected and promoted only on the basis of their relevant aptitudes, skills, abilities, qualifications and experience commensurate with the job.
No job applicant or employee will receive unfavourable treatment or be hindered in their career development because of discrimination.
Following a job interview, any unsuccessful interviewee is entitled to receive feedback on their performance from the most senior member of staff who served on the interview panel.

Any job applicant who feels that they have been treated unfairly in relation to the recruitment and selection process should state their complaint in writing.
Criminal records are taken into account for recruitment purposes only when the conviction is relevant. Unless the nature of the work demands it, applicants will not be asked to disclose convictions which are ‘spent’ in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Having an ‘unspent’ conviction will not necessarily bar an individual from employment; this will depend on the circumstances and the background to the offence(s).
In all cases Brookvex is committed to treating all job applicants fairly and ensuring that all appointments are based on nothing more than an individual’s qualification, competence and ability to do the job well.
